I take this on every hike
This bum bag comes with me on every hike. Inside I keep my phone, my SPF and my lip balm — the things I always want with me. Having them right there in front of me is so comfortable. I don’t need to stop or take anything off to reach them.
What I like
It is very easy to put on and to adjust. It sits comfortably and stays in place when I move. My hands stay free the whole time, which is what I want on a hike. And it doesn’t only look sporty — I wear it every day too, with normal clothes. I also like that it is made from recycled materials.
The one annoying thing
The strap is pretty long. When you close it, there is a lot of extra strap. In the beginning this annoyed me. Now I just tuck the extra part away and it is fine — but be ready for this.
Who it is for
Good for anyone who wants their hands free and their things easy to reach — for hiking, for travel, or just for the day. Maybe not for you if you carry a lot, or if a long strap would really bother you.
My verdict
I use it all the time and it makes hikes so much easier. The long strap is the only thing I don’t love, and once you tuck it away it’s a non-issue. For me, it is really worth it.
One note: mine is an older version of this bag. adidas releases new versions of the Stella McCartney bum bag each season, so if you want one, just look for the newest version — the colours and details change a little, but the hands-free idea is exactly the same.
